“I know,” he replied, wrapping his arm around her. He considered telling her that he knew in his head and his heart, but sometimes he got so wrapped up in everything that he remember3: all of the reasons he didn’t deserve her. Instead, he smiled and kept heading towards their cabin. “I’m glad you agreed to come with me. You deserve a break.”

Sliding his key into the lock and pushing the door open revealed everything on the inside. It was spacious and warm, just waiting for some company. He released a breath and slapped his hands together in a clap.

“You ready to be stuck with me for the weekend without interruptions?”

“I am too. And this will be nice, because I certainly won’t miss middle of the night pages for the next 48 hours,” she said with a smile, slipping away so that Mark could open the door without trouble.

Stepping into the cabin, Addison looked around with a critical eyes. It was paneled and floored in warm looking wood, the furniture was comfortable and homey. It was perfect for a weekend of uninterrupted Mark and Addison time.

“It’s perfect.” Leaning lightly against the wall, she undid the buckles of her calf-hugging boots. “So long as we don’t actually get stuck here because of a freak snowstorm, then yes. But can you handle a whole weekend of being stuck with me?”
